Although I've posted to the website, I haven't been updating my blog. That will change this year.

Here we are in mid-January and I still see Christmas decorations on my neighbor's homes. That sort of drives me crazy and if it were not for the fact that it's rained almost every weekend this year, I'd be stark raving mad by now. I'm kidding of course. The only house I care about having all Christmas decorations gone is my own and we're good!

If you've visited the site you may have noticed that we've done away with our clothing categories. For some time now shoppers haven't been interested in our clothing so rather than continue to keep the items until they turn vintage, we decided to drop them. At least for now.

One of the categories we still have an abundance of is jewelry. You'll  find stylish fashion designs, as well as a more traditional and therefore, costlier look. This is all good news for you, as according to Vogue Magazine the 2017 Trends for jewelry look just about like what we have in stock!

What Vogue says: Statement necklaces, arm cuffs, art school earrings and raw stones all made an impact on the runway this Fashion Week. We’re looking forward to Spring/Summer 2017.
I'm not sure if you can get any bolder than having an elephant hanging on your neck. They may have meant bold in size, but why not be bold in a statement?

With February right around the corner, you'll find an array of red jewelry items fit for Valentines Day, as well as a couple of Amethyst pieces to represent those born in February.

You'll really need to come check out our jewelry and see for yourself what we have to offer in the 291 items we have in stock. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I guess you could say we have you covered as far as jewelry goes!

Let's DIY

Let's DIY!  And to get us started I found a couple of projects that look to be fun and most certainly innovative!

8728bThe first one is primarily for our West Coast friends having to endure years of no rain to speak of, but clearly can be used for anyone wanting to conserve water. Of course it may take people on the West Coast a couple of years to fill the barrel....:(
Unfortunately, instructions are not included. I'm sure though any man that's handy around the house could figure it out in a minute.

e127The next idea also deals with the great outdoors and uses drought resistant plants to provide an awesome look for your fountain. We happen to have a fountain like this one and rarely do we fill it with water anymore, so this is a great way for it to be useful.

Silver Leaves from Toilet Paper RollsI think this interior décor item is interesting if for no
other reason than what it's made of and the amount of work that went into it's creation. To that point; I bet you would never guess that the leaves are made from toilet paper rolls!  Each leaf is then sewn on the machine to give it the center vein. They're spray painted silver or whatever color you would like, then very painstakingly attached with a glue gun to willow branches that were also spray painted silver. The effect is awesome, yet clearly it does involve a lot of work.  A link to the site with more detailed instructions is attached to the photo and where you'll also find more projects!

Wood Pallet WalkwayHow many times have you seen pallets either laying around by industrial trash receptacles or for sale by someone for next to nothing? When they get their hands on one, most people either make a bookcase, use them to display their collectibles or some other indoor, creative decorative item. Well here is someone who thought outside the box to create this walkway and I love it!

So there you have it. I will continue to look around for projects we can do on our own.
